How Embarrassing Is Falling Down?
For those of you that do not know me, when I'm not writing the best blog posts on the entire fucking internet I am out there making the world a better place. One delivered pizza at a time. Yes I deliver pizza and I am not ashamed. So its Friday night and its pretty busy nothing crazy, but I have to go at a pretty fast pace to keep up and make sure everything gets where it needs to go on time. I show up at this house and can not pull in the drive way because there is trash barrels knocked over by the rainy, windy, sleety, shitty weather. (the weather sucked tonight). I park on the street and walk up the steep drive way and across the front yard (dodging puddles, ice & slush) to the door. I hand over the food take the cash and make my way back to the car. I am organizing the cash, putting in order, and making sure its all facing the same way. Without looking in front of me I step on a sheet of ice and my feet fly up in the air, I fall on my back, and slide down the ice. The ice turns to slush and puddles and mud as I tumble down the front yard. I rolled about 30 feet until I reached the street. I was soaked and my hands were scraped from trying to catch myself. Luckily there was no one around to see this because it would've been the most embarrassing thing to happen to me in a very long time.
Legit falling down is probably one of the most embarrassing things that you can do. I laugh when I see people fall down. I even say "Thats embarrassing" just to put salt in the wounds. I am very lucky that no one saw me fall or my reputation as a cool kid/bad ass would be ruined.

Bieber to the Mavericks?
Star Telegram - DALLAS — The NBA trade deadline was at 2 p.m. Thursday, and a lot of teams were probably looking to make a deal to improve their team.
The Dallas Mavericks?
They were looking to sign teenage idol Justin Bieber?
"If I signed Dennis Rodman, I'm not above signing Justin Bieber -- if he's old enough to play," owner Mark Cuban said Wednesday night. "I don't know if he's eligible.
"Could you check on that for me, because I'll sign him. We can ask for an exception for Bieber Fever. Get the Bieber Fever NBA exception."
Bieber, who turns 17 on Tuesday, was voted the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Celebrity All-Star game last Friday in Los Angeles. He scored eight points and distributed four assists, but his East team lost to the West, 54-45.
"That guy can play," Cuban said. "If we're down a man, he's the one I'll sign.
I am so torn on this story. At first glance I am thinking typical Mavs, have a good thing going, the team is playing good and they are looking to screw it up by adding the Bieber? For as long as I can remember the Mavs have been the NBA equivalent to the Colts (good regular season, choke in playoffs) until even they won. So now any team that is good all year and blows it is pulling a Maverick. I feel bad because I love Mark Cuban, he's exactly the type of owner I'd be, running on the floor, being a wise ass, paying fines like its nothing. Which makes me think, "should he sign Bieber?" The answer is yes. I mean MVP of the Celeb All Star is the same thing as a Naismith Trophy. Hey Mark Cuban! I got a fever and the only prescription is more Bieber!!!
P.S. I was under the influence of Bieber on youtube when I wrote this post.
Breastmilk Ice Cream in The UK
Fox News - Breast milk ice cream was being scooped up by British customers Thursday after a London parlor used milk donated by a UK mom to make the "totally natural" treat.
Victoria Hiley, 35, a mother of one from Leeds in northern England, has already donated a liter of her breast milk to Icecreamists parlor for the dish it calls Baby Gaga, UK website Parentdish reported
"What's the harm in using my assets for a bit of extra cash?" said Hiley, who responded to an advert for milk suppliers on another parenting website, Mumsnet. "What could be more natural than fresh, free-range mother's milk in an ice cream?"
The new parlor, based in London's trendy Covent Garden district, pays £15 ($24) for every 10 ounces of milk and has already had 15 mothers become donors. Each lactating woman undergoes the same health checks used by the UK's National Health Service to screen blood donors.
Matt O'Connor, 44, who runs Icecreamists, makes the dish by blending the breast milk with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest.
"No-one's done anything interesting with ice cream in the last hundred years," he said. "Some people will hear about it and go, 'yuck,' but actually it's pure, organic, free-range and totally natural."
There is no way that Icecreamists is selling a ton of breast milk ice cream. There is just no way. Sure people are curious, hell I'd try a free sample, but this cant be popular. Can it? If people were that interested in breast milk they would sell it at the grocery store. Mix it right in there in between the 2% and skim would be the DD milk. Why stop at ice cream? Make breast cheese, and tit yogurt. As if men didnt think about boobs enough Icecreamists goes and puts in my head that all dairy products should come from boobies. Nice try Matt O'Connor but I think I'll just stick to my cookies and cream.

Need For Sheed 2?
The Unemployed are too Lazy to File for Unemployment
Yahoo Finance - WASHINGTON (AP) -- Fewer Americans requested unemployment benefits last week, pushing the average number of applications over the past four weeks to the lowest level in more than two and a half years.
Applications for unemployment benefits dropped by 22,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 391,000, the Labor Department said Thursday. It was the third decline in the past four weeks.
The four-week average for applications, a less volatile figure, fell to 402,000. That's the lowest number since late July 2008 and a hopeful sign that the job market is slowly improving.
The downward trend in applications indicates that layoffs are dropping steadily. But economists are still unsure when employers will begin hiring enough to make a dent in the 9 percent unemployment rate.
So unemployment benefit requests have reached the lowest level in two and a half years. This is great news if it means that America is getting off its collective ass, taking a shower, and getting a job. I doubt it though. I'm curious if people receiving tax refunds over the past few weeks has anything to do with the dip in benefit requests. The unemployment rates are still embarrassing but lets hope that people are itching to get back to work. So dust off those suits and get out there and make something of yourself.
BREAKING NEWS IN RUSSIA: Beer is Now Considered Alcohol
The Telegraph - The beverage is technically classified as a foodstuff for now, an anomaly that has allowed producers to avoid a sweeping new crackdown on alcohol advertising and night-time sales.
But a new Kremlin-backed bill that passed its first reading in the lower house of the Russian parliament on Tuesday will abolish beer's special status, dragging Russian alcohol regulation into the 21st century.
"Normalising the beer production market and classifying it as alcohol is totally the right thing to do and will boost the health of our population,"Yevgeny Byrun the ministry of health's chief specialist on alcohol and drug abuse, said.
"We have been talking about and have wanted such a measure for ages. I take my hat off to the parliament."
The new law would restrict beer sales at night, ban its sale in or close to many public places such as schools, and limit cans and bottles to a maximum size of 0.33 litres.
I always knew that the Russians were known for being heavy drinkers but this is a little ridiculous. Classifying beer as a foodstuff seems like its implying that its a vital and essential part of a persons diet. I also find it amusing that all these health specialist and government officials believe by that classifying it as alcohol, people are going to look at it differently and suddenly make better health choices. I'm going to guess that at least half of the people in Russia who drink beer know that there is alcohol in it. Lets say that Charlie Sheen knocks up Lindsay Lohan and then she gives birth to a country and the god mother is Amy Winehouse, the country would be named Russia. Beer is like the Russians Red Bull, they literally look at it as a soft drink in comparison to the amount of Vodka that is consumed. But the parliament is cracking down, so look for Egypt type protests across Russia coming soon.

Boston Red Stalkers
Theo - "I know what you did last summer!"
ESPN Boston -FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Boston Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein said he employed "a bad figure of speech" when he said the Red Sox checked out Carl Crawford "as if we were privately investigating him" before signing the free-agent outfielder last December.
Crawford said Tuesday that he was "creeped out a little bit" when Epstein told him that the club had monitored him, not only on the field, but off the field, in the months before signing him.
"I thought that was a little weird," Crawford said Tuesday. "I guess that's what they have to do when they're making that kind of investment."
Crawford signed a seven-year, $142 million contract with the Red Sox last December, the largest contract in club history in terms of average annual value.
"Our scouts just did a real thorough job on background, that's all," Epstein wrote in an e-mail after being apprised of Crawford's comments. "[We] felt like we got to know him real well, that's all. I told him we got to know him real well and we really respected the decisions he made, even away from the park.
Usually the only things you hear out of spring training are "best shape of his life" type stories. A whole lot of nothing is reported by the dozens of reporters that are down there. Most springs I would rather hear which reporter got the drunkest, who caught the biggest fish, or who was the best golfer. But this Carl Crawford story is pretty funny. I am not surprised at all that they would "scout" a player on and off the field, its just funny that they admit it. I guarantee all teams do this, and if they don't they probably suck and have shit head players. Crawford has every right to be "creeped out" most people would. But if you are the Red Sox you don't want to get burned by a big contract cause the guy has bad character. I would love to see an interview or story on the guy that followed Carl around for three months. Boston is known for three things we do better than anyone else and that's beans, pro sports, and spying. Someone play Tessie please.

Snakes on a Train?
Boston Herald - BOSTON - It is a hefty cleaning bill for a Massachusetts woman whose 3-foot long boa constrictor slithered away from her on a Red Line subway car in Boston and hid in the car for nearly a month.
Transit officials want 30-year-old Melissa Moorhouse of Allston to pay $650 to cover the costs of disinfecting and sanitizing the train to protect passengers from germs such as salmonella that may have been left by the Penelope the snake.
Penelope’s owner had traveled around with the Boa around her neck and lost it between the Broadway and Andrew stations on Jan. 6. It was spotted on the train earlier this month by a commuter.
I'm sick and tired of these mother fucking snakes... on this mother fucking train?
Thanks to Nick for the tip.
Am I Crazy?
So Just Go With It hit theaters around the country a few weeks ago, looks funny, heard good things, and will probably check it out soon. That is not the purpose of this post. The movie features two of the most attractive women in the world, Jennifer Aniston & Brooklyn Decker. That brought me into my fantasy world where I am sitting at a bar and both of these women are tugging my shirt and begging me to take them home to my mansion. (The possibility of a three way is thrown out, although it is a fantasy world you got to have some reality.) Anyways the choice is clear that I am taking home Jennifer. Am I the only one who would do this? Brooklyn Decker is a SUPER MODEL on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Victoria Secret model, arguably the hottest woman in the world. Yet, I still take Jen. Maybe its the fact that I was in love with Rachael from Friends, maybe I want to follow in my idol's (John Mayer) footsteps, or maybe its the fact that I know she is going to be hot all the way until shes pushing 80. I even think that Brad Pitt is crazy for leaving Jennifer for Angelina (especially since he inherited about 90 kids). I know there will be people that agree with me but I have a feeling I am in the minority on this one.

Does Carmelo on the Knicks Scare You?
After the Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks deal went down the thoughts in my head shift to how does this effect the Celtics place in the Eastern Conference. I'm seeing a lot of "rivalry renewed" crap that now that the Knicks have Carmelo they should be considered equal with Boston. I have actually been a Carmelo fan dating back to his Syracuse days and he is without a doubt an elite player in the NBA. The more I sit here and think about it though I am still not ready to declare a state of emergency and do not believe that the Knicks are a threat, yet. This stuff doesn't phase the Celtics. They love playing the so called "super teams" and will show up to play and politely (or not so politely in KG's case) knock them off of the high horse that they rode in on. Now although KG said "Anything's possible" he also said "You got to beat somebody before it can be a rivalry."
Greatest United States Presidents EVER!!!
It really bothers me that a day like Presidents Day is associated with big sales at car dealerships or electronic stores and not spent focusing on some of the great men who have served at the most powerful position in the world. I know that there are decent Americans out there who respect the office and this country, and if you take the time to read this I'm probably preaching to the choir. For those who dont care about politics or say they dont matter please just take a look at these men that I want to give praise to and try to envision what this country or even world for that matter would be like without them.
1. Ronald Reagan - No other President in US history had as much success as far as foreign and domestic policies were concerned. He was able to revive a suffering economy by cutting taxes, reducing government spending, & reducing government regulation. Reagan stood toe to toe with the Soviet Union and put an end to the Cold War. There were certain characteristics about Reagan that made him so succesful despite him not being viewed as the smartest President ever. He was a visionary that knew what he wanted to do and how he needed to go about doing it. He had a character, he didn't spend time worrying about being popular he was honest and did what was right for the country.
3. Abraham Lincoln - On many lists Honest Abe is number one and is very deserving. The first Republican President ever elected. (Probably should have left that out. People will probably hate him now) He put a stop to the Civil War and United the Nation again. In the process he freed millions of slaves upon ending slavery. He had great respect and dedication to the office he held and was available to talk to and even answered questions. Lincolns values and beliefs remain to this day, and his name has been synonmous with "freedom & union."

2. Franklin Delano Roosevelt - FDR was elected to four terms as President during some of the darkest times in US history. He was President during the Great Depression, and arguably single handedly got the US out of it with its big time government spending and programs like "The New Deal". FDR also led the US through WWII. FDR was viewed as inspiration to a nation that needed someone to look to during such terrible times.

People Who Are Scared of Spiders Are Obnoxious
Ive felt strong about this issue for a long time now but seeing that Mentos commercial where the girl screams over the spider brought back these thoughts. Its so annoying when your minding your own business and all of the sudden you hear a scream or someone grabs your arm. While you try and recover from the mini heart attack you just had you ask whats wrong and you find yourself staring 30 feet across the room or at the ceiling looking at a spider minding its own business. The spider isnt going to do shit. I Never understood the fear of little ass spiders and daddy long legs which is what 95% of spider freak outs are over. I'm calling bullshit on this whole thing and saying its a cry for attention. Like what do these people do when they are the only ones around. Do they retreat, sign over the title to the house? Suck it up, get a tissue, wipe the tears off your face, then fuck that spider up.
Bigger Contract Surprise: Peyton Manning or Albert Pujols
I can not remember another time that two marquee franchise players have both been mishandled like I see with Peyton Manning and Albert Pujols. Both players are championship caliber, elite, best at what they do players and here we are talking about both players reaching the end of their contracts. If I'm a fan of the Colts or Cardinals I am outraged. Who should be more upset?
After the Super Bowl loss to the Saints, all the talk coming out of Indy was "Peyton is the best" "Peyton should be the highest paid player" blah blah blah. Here we are over a year later and he's sitting their with the franchise tag on him. I don't care about labor talks cause thats just an excuse. There are no possible scenarios in the CBA that the Colts are going to come away not paying him. Peyton Manning will always be a Colt. I do believe part of his struggles last year could be traced to not having a contract, so if Indy wants their franchise back you gotta pay the man.
As bad as the Colts look in this, its the Cardinals who really mishandled the situation. Unlike Manning, Pujols would definitely leave for another team. What makes it worse for St. Louis he could easily go to the division rival Cubs and terrorize you for the rest of his career. Pujols has been the best player in the game for a while now and deserves to be paid like it. This issue will linger throughout the season and put a burden on his teammates but Pujols will continue to perform at a high level. The Cardinals should be looking big picture, he is in his prime now and would be able to finish his career in St. Louis. The value of a player is always based on what someone else will pay him, and I don't know if the Cardinals are ready for a bidding war over the games best player.
Celtics Look To Add Parker At The Deadline For The Stretch Run
So On The Fly has been in existence for one week, earlier in the week I put Tomas Kaberle on a wish list gave Chiarelli the ultimatum, less than 48 hours later Kaberle is skating in black and gold. So lets try this again. My sources (loose term) tell me that the Celtics are looking to add some depth behind Paul Pierce. It appears the Bulls are in on the Parker sweepstakes. Honestly, I'm surprised there aren't more teams lining up for this former Rookie of the Year (2008), MVP (2008) and someone with a decorated college career, and the first overall pick in the 08 Draft. She will be a great addition to this team. Oh wait. We aren't talking about Candace Parker? Anthony Parker? Oh yeah sure. Get that done Danny, but only if you can't get Candace first.
How To Fix The Slam Dunk Contest
This years dunk contest featured Blake Griffin and three other guys no one knows or cares about. Of course Blake Griffin won, I couldve told you that it was as much of a sure thing as a sure thing could possibly be. Now I'm not going to sit here and say that the outcome was rigged, that would be unfair. What I will say is that it was an NBA event, where one outcome would benefit the league and the whole weekend and any other outcome would be catastrophic. Also it was in LA and there were no Lakers so Griffin was essentially a de facto Laker.
But instead of praying and piggybacking on the flavor of the week every year David Stern should address this because its a great chance to get casual fans interested in the NBA. Heres what he needs to do.
* Star Power - This is an obvious one but you need to get back to stars playing and only stars. No more letting non all star players participate. To get the super stars to participate, let the fans vote 2 East & 2 West. If the player is voted and declines to participate he will not be eligible for the All Star Game. Or you can have it like the NHL where everyone is in uniform. If you tell Lebron he cant sit in the front row wearing oversized glasses a bow tie and suspenders or some other god awful outfit and he is forced to wear his uniform he is more likely to want to play.
* Add a Prop Round - Have assorted props/supplies at the disposal of each player. Trampolines, rocket packs, pogo sticks, whatever. If Blake Griffin does that car dunk without the car no one cares. Throw a car in and bitches get wet. Everybody loves props.
* Outside? - Do the damn thing outside. Most players grew up playing ball outside on some ghetto hoop with chain net and chain fence all around. Bring the game and its stars back to there roots. Hockey does it with the Winter Classic. I think it would be real cool to see the games biggest stars take over Rucker Park or some other outdoor court.
* The Crowd - This might be the most important thing that will make this event an absolute must watch. I want the first 2-3 rows all the way around the arena to be And 1 basketball fans. Just going ballistic and all "Oh no he didnt" to everything that happened. My vision looks a lot like this following video.

Flo is Totally Skiing in This Commercial
Ok so this commercial has been around for a while now but I remember the first time I saw this I thought Flo is such a whore. She is clearly "skiing" with Bill and Tom. No wonder all these insurance guys are leaving their companies and going with Progressive. Right at 0:25 seconds she lets Bill & Tom know its an office party and gives the signal.
Take The Training Wheels Off: Let Him Play
Listen here Claude. I understand you want to handle your young franchise player very carefully, and you've done good with that so far. You've protected him and he's developing just fine. But here's the thing this team is poised to make a run NOW. You are getting outstanding goaltending, your players have showed that they can play with a lot of emotion, and arent afraid in the high pressure playoff type atmospheres. Tyler Seguin is a player, and he has learned more in this first half of his rookie season than at any other point of his life. Now its time to take what hes learned and put it to action. He has tremendous skill, speed, and ability to score. Traits this team needs to get where they want to go. If you look at Steven Stamkos in his rookie season he was handled with care in the first half, but down the stretch he turned into a super star scoring 19 points in the last 20 games. Now Stamkos is a top 5 player in the league. I'm not saying Seguin is Stamkos, but you have to let him go out there and experience the ups and downs of the NHL on a nightly basis. The pressure is on now Claude and if you don't play Seguin more, someone else will be coaching him next year.
Welcome to Boston Tomas Kaberle
The Boston Bruins made a flurry of moves on Friday, the biggest reportedly acquiring veteran defenseman Tomas Kaberle from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Bruins sent minor league forward Joe Colborne, a first-round pick in 2011 and another conditional draft pick to Toronto, TSN reported on Friday, citing unnamed sources.
The Bruins needed to clear cap space to absorb the remainder of Kaberle's $4.25 million salary this season, so they turned around and traded forward Blake Wheeler and defenseman Mark Stuart to the Atlanta Thrashers for center Rich Peverley and defenseman Boris Valabik, a league source told ESPNBoston.com's Joe Murphy.
Kaberle, 32, has spent his entire career in Toronto and has made four All-Star teams. This season Kaberle has three goals and 35 assists and is a minus-2 in 58 games. He will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Thank You Peter Chiarelli! Finally a deadline deal that makes the team better. Not going to give him to much credit because this deal absolutely had to be made. Kaberle is very excited to come to Boston and his game will flourish here. He is that "puck moving defenseman" that everyone and their grandmother has been praying for. Leadership, power play ability, and allowing Chara to get back to playing his type of game just to name a few things that this does. This is the type of move that the Bruins have shied away from in the past. You have to be aggressive to be successful. The difference between winning and losing is a couple of moves. I lump the action today together because one deal hinged on the other. Todays action is a step in the right direction but they need a top 6 forward that can put the puck in the net for me to be more confident in this team going forward.
I know a lot of people will be happy to see Wheeler leave town, but I believe that the kid has a future in this league and was a victim of early success and high expectations.
Even sadder to see Mark Stuart go, a fan favorite who had everyones back and played with intensity and high energy every night. With Stuart gone I see McQuaid really stepping up and shining.

Could Tomas Kaberle Be Coming to Boston?
ESPN Boston - BOSTON -- The smoke is bellowing. But is there fire? Speculation was running rampant Tuesday afternoon that the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs were close to completing a deal that would send Leafs defenseman Tomas Kaberle to the Bruins.
Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke confirmed during a radio interview on 98.5 The Sports Hub that he was in talks with Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli on a possible deal, but did not mention a specific player or players.
Multiple league sources told ESPNBoston.com that there was no deal in place as of late Tuesday night.
If these reports are true and this move goes down this could mean big things for the Bruins. Kaberle is the Adrien Gonzalez for the Bruins, been sought after for a while, several rumors, and speculation but you weren't going to believe it til you see it. Kaberle is that "puck moving defenseman" that seems to have come up in every discussion of Bruins needs for as long as I can remember. The person who will benefit the most if this move goes down is Zdeno Chara. He takes a lot of heat in this town and I am one of his harsher critics, but with the addition of Kaberle the pressure will be less on Chara to generate offense and he can focus on shutting down the opposing teams best player. Also the power play will improve. The Bruins are in prime position to get Kaberle and he would be happy to come here. Dont screw this up Peter, I will not be satisfied if Chris Kelly is the big deadline deal. Kaberle is the guy now go get him.

Wal Mart Fires Employees For Saving People From Gunman
AOL News - Four Wal-Mart employees have been fired after management said they violated company policy by disarming an alleged shoplifter who had pulled a gun inside the store.
Lori Poulsen, Justin Richins, Shawn Ray and Gabriel Stewart were all longtime workers at Wal-Mart's Layton, Utah, store. Poulsen was an asset protection coordinator, Richins and Ray were asset protection associates, and Stewart was an assistant manager.
On Jan. 13, employees allegedly witnessed a man identified as Trent Allen Longton take a netbook computer out of the package and stuff it under his shirt. When Longton attempted to leave the store, he was confronted by Poulsen, who escorted him to a nearby office. The two were joined there by Ray, Richins and Stewart, Salt Lake City's Deseret News reported.
Inside the office, Longton allegedly pulled out a loaded handgun and ran toward the office door, which was blocked by Ray, Richins and Stewart. Longton then allegedly grabbed Stewart and shoved the gun into his back. Concerned for their safety, the workers reacted forcefully and disarmed Longton.
In the police incident report, the investigating officer noted that the Wal-Mart employees acted in the "best interest and safety" of those around them. Longton, as it turned out, was a convicted felon who was prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Wal-Mart managers, however, disagreed. The following week, the four workers were fired for violating the company's "Investigation and Detention of Shoplifters Policy." The policy instructs employees to retreat if an individual brandishes a weapon.
Let me start this by saying I LOVE WAL MART. I know its bad for small business, I know that there are a lot of disgusting people that shop/work there but theres something about it that makes me never pass up an opportunity to go. Might be the people watching. That aside Wal Mart really screwed this up. These employees should be rewarded not fired. I understand that its policy that thats not how its supposed to be handled but come on. These employees arguably saved lives and even the police say they acted in the "best interest & safety". Something tells me to if these employees had "retreated" like it says in the handbook that netbook computer was going to be coming out of there minimum wage pay checks. Damned if you do damned if you don't. Personally, I've always wanted to be thrust into a situation where I have to be a hero, save a life, catch a fugitive etc. so I would totally act on it like these employees did. If that means I'll be looking for a new job than so be it.

Kid Punished For "Dealing" Candy at Lunch
Small World News - Flavien Roger will go before a disciplinary hearing today morning after he was caught dealing Jawbreakers to pals in his lunchbreak.
The pint-sized entrepreneur pocketed 28 Euros (£23) from sales before over-zealous teachers shut down his illicit enterprise.
He told teachers at his French school that he hoped to buy a flat-screen TV with the profits.
Flavien, who has been described as a ‘model student’, could be permanently removed if he is found guilty of ‘trafic de sucettes’ – or trafficking lollipops.
After I read this story I was shocked that this didnt happen in the US. This seems like the type of bullshit that an American teacher would pull, killing any type of business sense or ambition that a kid may have. Then when I realized it was in a French school I was happy and hope that the French continue to discourage there kids from growing up to be successful and ambitious. This way we can at least count on the French to not be be breeding the world leaders of tomorrow that will eventually own the world. So now we only have to worry about Russia, China, Japan, etc. as countries that are setting their children up to rule the world one day.
I love how they used words like traffic and deal to describe candy. Its just candy people. Damn Frenchies.
WEEI Shakeup
In a move that creates a “Dream Team” pairing two of Boston’s most respected and entertaining personalities, Michael Holley, who has co-hosted the midday “Dale and Holley” program on WEEI since 2005, is moving to afternoon drive-time, joining Glenn Ordway for “The Big Show with Glenn Ordway and Michael Holley.” The program will air weekdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and launches on February 28.
WEEI will be announcing details on a revamped midday show in the coming days.
“We have one mission at WEEI, and that is to give our loyal listeners the most entertaining and informative sports radio experience that we can provide,” said Julie Kahn, Vice President and Market Manager at Entercom New England. “Our new programming lineup will carry on the 20-year tradition that we’ve built: THE source for news, commentary and entertainment for the true Boston sports fan.”
The pairing of Ordway and Holley, each with his own distinctive style, unites two of the most popular and credible icons of the Boston sports scene, and adds a new dynamic to an already powerful program in afternoon drive for WEEI.
“Glenn and Michael are both tremendous talents,” said Jason Wolfe, Vice President of AM Programming and Operations at Entercom New England. “They bring incredible passion, unmatched credibility and unique insight into the Boston sports scene. I'm really looking forward to this new partnership becoming one of the great sports radio shows of our time.”
Well looks like WEEI is feeling the heat that The Sports Hub is bringing. I heard they had big news and they were not kidding. I always thought that Dale and Holley were safe and didnt see a move like this to be possible. That being said I think this could be a good move for WEEI. I have switched to 98.5 during the 2-6 time slot because I find Ordway to be obnoxious and unlistenable. He's surrounded himself with his buddies and no one ever challenges him. Say what you want about Holley but he will not be afraid to go after Ordway. From what I hear the afternoon show will feature Lou Merloni and Mike Mutnansky. Very curious to see how these two handle such an important time slot, neither has had that type of oppurtunity but a shake up is what WEEI needed and that is what they have done. These moves will help but I dont see them stopping the bleeding that The Sports Hub has inflicted on them. Moves made under pressure like this could only be done by the likes of Macgruber. Well done Macgruber.

Get Your Tickets for The Tommy Morrison Comeback Tour
Kansas City Star - WICHITA | Tommy Morrison is cutting into a cheap rib eye steak on a plate he has covered in ketchup. The ideas come out between bites. You have to listen carefully. The rough Oklahoma twang will spell out all kinds of ideas, things that would blow your mind if they existed outside his reality.
Telekinesis, for instance. He hasn’t quite figured it out, but he’d rather be invisible, anyway. Just think of all the stuff he could learn. One time he teleported himself out of a bar, and did you know the human body can re-grow limbs?
His face is worn and his skin sags in places, but he insists he’s in the best shape of his life. He’s going to be heavyweight champion again if boxing lets him back in, and this brings up HIV. It always comes back to HIV with Tommy, even over breakfast, so he chops up his $12 steak and eggs and tells you he is the victim of a wild conspiracy.
They stole his career, he says, at least a $38 million contract and who knows how much after that? They stole his good name, too. Made him admit to the world he has HIV. But that was before he found out that HIV doesn’t exist. It was invented to control people, he tells you, and he can go on and on about this all day.
He takes another bite and looks at his girlfriend, a woman from England named Trisha.
“We have unprotected sex,” she says.
Tommy is still chewing, but laughs.
“Every day,” he says. “We’re wild.”
You hear that? Thats the sound of all the heavyweight boxers in the world shitting their pants because the great Tommy Morrison is staging a comeback. He's in the best shape of his life and hes coming for you. I seriously don't know why this article isn't generating more attention I mean this is pretty groundbreaking stuff. HIV doesn't exist, & telekinesis does. This HIV conspiracy might have some truth to it. I mean it makes so much sense (I think George W. Bush is behind it). You control a guy who has everything and cheat him out of a $38 million contract and thats just the start. But does Morrison let that bother him. NO. Heart of a champion. Steak and eggs and unprotected sex with Trisha from England. I haven't seen such a promising comeback since Dicky Eklund.
Who hates Valentines Day More: Guys with Girlfriends or Single Girls?
Valentines Day has to be the worst day of the year. The most materialistic overhyped pressure packed day. For guys its about getting the right flowers right candy right jewelery and so on. All to prove a message that the girl should know just by being with him on any other day. If you need Valentines Day to show you love eachother your probably in a shitty relationship. So as stressful as it is for guys with girlfriends/wives its got to really suck for girls who are single. It would be like if Christmas was reliant on a relationship status and not qualifying and missing out on presents. Girls love candy flowers teddy bears candles and all sorts of bull shit and if you have a boyfriend you get it all. So this post goes out to all the single ladies out there. Better luck next year.
Mankins Gets The Franchise Tag
The Pats have placed the franchise tag on guard Logan Mankins. Mankins will earn $10.1 million next season if he signs the franchise tender. This is a move many saw coming but the question is does this just buy some time to negotiate a deal with the big fella or is this the last straw that will ultimately see him leave town (Cough Assante Samuel Cough) With all that is uncertain in the NFL next year the Pats ensure that they will have an All Pro as well as the enforcer at guard whenever football is played.
The Beantpot: The Biggest Thing That No One Cares About
The first two Mondays in February in Boston can mean everything to some but absolutely nothing to most. The Beanpot Consolation and Championship games are tonight and unless you have a dog in the fight you couldn't care less. The 4 team tourney of BC, BU, Harvard, and Northeastern has been around for almost 60 years in the greatest sports city on the planet yet no one cares. Its hard to believe that a city with as many colleges/universities NCAA sports can be ignored. Guess we are spoiled. Attending the Beanpot is on many sports bucket lists but for the locals it will take a backseat to seeing if Papelbon is upset about having other players on the team.
Red Sox Open Spring Training... In Other News Paint is Drying and Grass is Growing.
Pitchers and catchers reported to Ft. Meyers yesterday. YAWN. Is there anything less exciting than Spring Training. Even with all the excitement and expectations surrounding this team it is hard to get into spring training. The only "event" that is phonier is "Truck Day". I love the Sox as much as the next guy but I would rather watch paint dry then watch Bobby Jenks bounce on a yoga ball or see a herd of relief pitchers run 50% around the outfield. Come and get me when its really baseball season and not my mothers yoga class.

Amputee Pitcher Cut From Baseball Team
Fox News - A Florida high school baseball team's decision to cut a double-amputee player from the squad had critics crying foul.
Pitcher Anthony Burruto -- who has prosthetic legs, can throw an 80-mph fastball and was featured on the cover of ESPN the Magazine -- was cut after he tried out for Dr. Phillips High School varsity team.
Coach Mike Bradley's main concern about Burroto was him trying to field bunts off the pitcher's mound, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
When I first read this story I thought heres another case of political correctness and that "everyone should be able to play" bull shit. I figured its a case of someone with a disability wanting to be treated normally but then when normal is getting cut you cry discrimination. But after reading on the kid can pitch. I understand both sides but ultimately its the coaches decision and if he thinks that his fielding isnt up to par than hes making the right move. I got a lot of respect for this kid he says that he wants to earn his spot on the team and not be given it out of pity. A lesson that the rest of this country should learn.
LeBron James Curses At Fan For Cursing
ESPN.COM - LeBron James took a moment during Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons to fire back at a heckling fan who insulted his mother.
After hearing a fan sitting near the court behind the Heat's bench mention his mother's name, James walked toward the scorer's table and addressed the male fan.
"I don't care what you say to me. I don't give a [expletive] what you say," James said to the fan. "But don't be disrespectful."
So Lebron was getting heckled in Detroit. Boo hoo. What do you expect LeBron? You act like a piece of shit your gonna be treated like one. But the best part is that hes mad that they were talking about his mother , so he swears at the guy to hammer home some respect. Just wait til Sunday afternoon in Boston. Now Delonte wont be in the game, so if you dont see him on the bench and LeBrons mom isnt in the stands I wonder who LeBron is going to flip out on then. Bahaha.
