ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) – A former student at Colorado Mountain College says she was forced to drop a class because she had a seizure.
Channing Seideman was in the middle of an emergency medical technician class when she had an epileptic seizure. She said faculty members asked her to drop the class, saying the episode was too distracting to other students and there could be more.
She doesn’t want other people to experience the same thing.
There are a couple different angles I can take on this story. First off, I don't blame the school for asking her to drop the class. I mean you let one girl get away with having a seizure to get out of class the next thing you know seizures on the reg. Everyone has a disorder now a days. Doctors giving excuses for kids to slack off. Well not at CMC, no bullshit here. They saw right through this broads plan. Channing here has probably been cheating, scheming, and tricking her way all the way through school. I mean how else could she get into the prestigious power house Colorado Mountain College. Bet she had ADD in middle school, had asthma when it came to gym class, 3 grandmothers passed away, and her dog refused to eat dog food and feasted on her homework every night. Then there is the bigger more important point that no one seems to have noticed. She was taking a damn EMT class. Its not like she was in math or history. Call me spoiled but when I need emergency help and I'm in the ambulance I dont want to have to take care of the EMT. Its like taking care of your drunk friend on your own birthday. It would be like a criminal justice student sparking a joint, a vet being allergic to animals, or a blind bus driver. So sorry sweetheart but when I dial 911 I better not see your face.
